Quail Ridge Business Centre

The Quail Ridge Business Centre project presented a unique challenge in the form of a massive retaining wall that needed to be built to support the neighbouring land. The site was located on a steep hillside, requiring a retaining wall that was over 25 feet tall and 400 feet long.

The wall had to be designed to withstand lateral earth pressures and seismic forces, while also incorporating architectural features to blend with the modern aesthetic of the building. Our team of structural engineers worked closely with the geotechnical engineers and construction crews to develop an innovative solution using a combination of shotcrete and lateral brace supports.

This hybrid approach allowed us to construct the wall in a limited footprint while providing the necessary strength and stability. The project was completed successfully, with the retaining wall serving as a strong foundation for the building.
